SUPPORT OUR  MISSION IN CUSCO, PERU

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. You can also support our new GoFundMe Campaign!

The pandemic has helped us shift our mission slightly once again!! We are always trying to focus on helping the less fortunate through different wellness programs whether that is donating our time and services or training others to become wellness professionals. This year our mission is focused on helping the people of Cusco, Peru to bring free yoga to all of the hospital employees and at-risk children.

In our ambassador's own words "Despite the unstable health and economic situation in Peru, I see an opportunity to continue to practice love, compassion in action, and inner calm. While we abide by the President´s mandate of social distancing, wearing a mask, and disinfecting oneself, these are by themselves insufficient to address what I call a specific healthcare issue, or for improving our immune systems. I would like to enlarge the mandate, to include healthy eating habits and a regular practice of physical activity, which can include yoga and meditation.

This is why we have decided to offer FREE YOGA & MEDITATION CLASSES TO  HEALTHCARE WORKERS & CHILDREN AT RISK.

The healthcare workers able to benefit from these services include doctors, nurses, aides, helpers, laboratory technicians, etc.

They have all been directly affected by this pandemic. They are the front line workers in a very antiquated health care system in Peru. They have been doing their best given the lack of resources and personnel but a recent article publish in Peru stated that over 20% of healthcare workers visit the hospital psychologist for depression related to COVID-19.

The GOAL AMOUNT is estimated at $6,100 to be able to continue providing these classes until the end of 2020 and into 2021.

The more we are able to receive in donations, the more we will be able to provide in terms of specific classes, workshops and trainings. Any donation regardless of the amount will go a long way to sharing this practice with those in need.

This estimated figure takes into account the amount of time, effort, investment and safety precautions we have undertaken to make this happen.

1. Purchase of Additional New Yoga Mats
2. Transportation Costs
3. Cleaning Supplies
4. Stipend for Yoga & Meditation Classes
5. COVID-19 Testing Precautions
6. Full commitment for (8) Months of Practice
7. Yoga Teacher Training for Hospital Personnel

That being said, our ambassador's situation, Anthony Alcalde, as with many others during this pandemic has been difficult. Some of the funds that will be received are to also help him stay afloat in these tough economic times. The funds will sustain him as well as his vision to bring yoga and meditation to those on the front lines of this pandemic. This is his way to help create an energy flow of giving and receiving.

Please allow us to continue this fight against COVID-19 by providing our front line workers with the tools they need to find peace of mind and a healthy practice during this pandemic.
